Your Experience
We make it easy to get - and keep - the results you came for.
At The Carragher Method, our standard of care and our standard of patient experience are the same: exceptional. You're looked after by board-certified physicians and other professionals who bring deep specialized expertise to every aspect of your protocol and by a dedicated team whose job is to make sure that your care is as seamless, discreet, and effortless as it is effective.
A team that really knows you
Your physician knows your history, your goals, and the nuances of how your body responds - not from a chart, but from an ongoing relationship built over time. Your protocol is monitored closely, adjusted as you evolve, and always grounded in the latest diagnostics and clinical evidence. And when you have a question or a concern, you reach a real person who knows who you are and can give you a real answer.
"Dr. Carragher has some of the best bedside manner I've ever seen - he's present, he listens, and he's genuinely interested in helping you get better.”
Concierge care, in every sense of the word
We take care of every detail, from end-to-end, so all you need to focus on is results. Mobile phlebotomists come to you for blood draws, your supplements and prescriptions are coordinated and delivered directly to your door. And, our in-house fitness and nutrition expert works in step with your clinical team to make sure every dimension of your protocol - not just the clinical side - is working in your favor.
"The team worked with me and made me feel like they genuinely had my back. They're not transactional - they're human. That matters."
Care that travels with you
Because our practice is fully remote, exceptional care doesn't require you to be anywhere in particular. Whether you're in Los Angeles, New York, or somewhere in between, The Carragher Method is built to work around your life - bringing the same level of clinical precision and personal attention wherever you are.
"I have more energy, better sleep, and my joints don't bother me. People see me, say I look better, and ask what I'm doing. I tell them the results they can see - that's only a small part of it."
This is the standard of care you've been looking for
You've seen what The Carragher Method delivers and how we deliver it. The next step is a consultation - book yours today and a member of our team will be in touch personally to get you started.
Your questions, answered
We believe informed patients get the best results. Here are answers to the questions we hear the most.
-
No - and you don't have to accept it. Too many men are told that fatigue, shifting body composition, poor sleep, and fading drive are simply part of getting older — something to manage rather than address. We know that isn't true. With the right clinical foundation and personalized support, you can look better, feel stronger, and perform at a higher level than you have in years. Just ask Nick Wooster, a longtime patient who put it simply: "I honestly feel like I'm aging in reverse." Decline isn't inevitable. Helping high-performing men reach their full potential and live long, healthy, fulfilling lives is exactly why this practice exists.
-
A lot of it comes down to your hormones. As men age, levels of testosterone, growth hormone, and other key hormones decline. And, because hormones regulate metabolism, muscle, sleep, mood, and recovery, that decline shows up everywhere. Lifestyle factors like stress, sleep, and nutrition compound it. Here's the key insight most approaches miss: if the foundation is off, everything is off. That foundation is your hormonal health. It's why we take a root-cause approach by first restoring the system that governs how you feel, and the rest finally responds.
-
Because "normal" and "optimal" aren't the same thing. Standard lab reference ranges are population averages built to flag disease - not to tell you whether you’re actually operating at your best. You can fall squarely within "normal for your age" and still feel depleted, foggy, and stuck. We look at your numbers through the context of optimal ranges, your symptoms, and your goals - not just whether you avoid a diagnosis.
-
It's not a knock on primary care - it's a different job. PCPs are built to manage acute illness and disease risk across very large patient panels, often in short, insurance-driven visits. Age Management and optimization require specialized training, advanced diagnostics, more time per patient, and a different model of care entirely. That specialization is all we do.
-
Keep it simple and collaborative: "I'm working with a physician who specializes in hormone optimization and longevity, and I'd like to keep you in the loop." You're adding a specialist to your team, not replacing them. At the end of the day, it’s your body and your health.
-
Your safety comes first, always. There are very few interactions between hormones and other medications. However, before any recommendation, we review your complete health history and current medications, and everything is overseen by a physician. Comprehensive testing and regular monitoring are part of how we keep your protocol safe and working.
-
Think of it as a spectrum. On one side you have:
Off-the-shelf supplements are guesswork without testing.
Online platforms are convenient but generic - an algorithm and a product, with little personalization or oversight
TRT clinics typically pull one lever in isolation
On the other end of the spectrum is a specialized, physician-led practice like The Carragher Method:
Comprehensive testing
A protocol personalized to your unique biology and goals
Ongoing physician monitoring
And, care for the whole system rather than a single symptom
The difference in options is the difference between guessing and knowing.

Almost always, it’s because they skipped the foundational health work needed for these therapies to work, or they are taking the wrong therapies.
Peptides, GLPs, and other therapies are powerful, but they often require your hormonal health to be optimized first in order to achieve safe, sustainable results. So, when you take them out of sequence, with generic dosing, no baseline testing, and no adjustment over time, the results are usually disappointing. That's not a knock on these types of therapies - it's a knock on using them without the system that makes them work.
-
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that act as precise signals in the body, supporting functions like recovery, tissue regeneration, metabolism, immune response, and more. They can be a valuable, targeted layer of a protocol, but they aren't a standalone fix and not everyone needs them. Whether peptides belong in your plan should be based on a physician's recommendation, made from your labs and your goals, and layered on top of an optimized hormonal foundation.
-
Some therapeutics can be ordered online, but without proper testing, physician oversight, and ongoing monitoring, you're taking a significant risk with both your safety and your results. Hormone therapies, peptides, and other treatments are powerful precisely because they work at a physiological level - which means getting the dosing, sequencing, and combination wrong can do real harm, or at minimum, deliver none of the results you're after.
Products purchased through certain online retailers or unregulated platforms also carry no guarantee of purity, potency, or authenticity - a significant concern when what you're putting into your body matters this much.
A reputable, physician-led practice doesn't just personalize your protocol - it ensures what you're taking is appropriate for your specific biology, monitors your bloodwork to catch anything that needs adjusting, and is accountable for your outcomes in a way no online platform ever could be. The difference isn't just convenience or personalization. It's the difference between something that's genuinely safe and effective and something that's simply available.
-
It starts with comprehensive lab testing. No reputable practice should be making recommendations before understanding what's actually happening inside your body. A truly personalized protocol is built from your biomarkers and your goals, then adjusted continuously as you respond. If anyone offers you a prescription or protocol before testing you, consider that a red flag.
-
It begins with comprehensive lab testing - the only way to know what you truly need rather than guessing. From there, expect an ongoing partnership: regular check-ins, visits with your physician, and bloodwork as needed to track your progress, confirm your protocol is working safely, and optimize as your body and goals evolve. Anything less isn't real monitoring.
-
Step 1: Reach out and schedule your initial consultation.
Step 2: Book your first evaluation, which includes getting lab testing done - through a mobile phlebotomist that we provide who comes to you. We coordinate it all.
Step 3: Meet with your Carragher Method physician to discuss your goals, review lab results, understand what's happening in your body - what's working optimally, what needs support - and get your personalized recommendations on how to address challenges and achieve your health goals.
Step 4: If you'd like to move forward with the recommendations, we onboard you as an ongoing patient and guide you through your comprehensive, personalized protocol (inclusive of medication, supplements, nutrition, and lifestyle supports).
Step 5: We track and optimize - we’ll regularly run new labs and check in to measure progress, fine-tune your protocol, and set new goals.
-
It varies by individual and protocol, but most patients notice the early changes - like improved energy and better sleep - within the first several weeks. Improvements in body composition, focus, and performance tend to build over the following months as your protocol takes full effect. We set clear expectations up front and monitor your progress closely, so you always know what to expect and when.
What kind of commitment is this - time, cost, and lifestyle?
We ask for an initial 12-month commitment - enough time to make a meaningful difference and move you toward your health, longevity, and performance goals. That said, we view this as a long-term relationship, and most patients stay with us well beyond that. The Carragher Method serves as a trusted partner in their quality of life and longevity for years. Nick Wooster has been a patient of Dr. Carragher’s for over 20 years.
On cost: Every protocol is different because every patient is different, so your investment is tailored to your specific needs. We'll walk you through the details in your consultation - no surprises.
On time and lifestyle: We know you're busy, so we take care of the logistics for you. Mobile phlebotomists come to you, we arrange and ship your supplements and prescriptions, and our in-house fitness and nutrition expert supports the lifestyle side alongside your protocol. Our job is to make doing this easy, consistent, and effective - a true, white-glove, long-term partnership.
